This is what it says on AQA Website :-

This specification is being withdrawn: see the new GCE implementation timetable.

    * the last AS exams are in summer 2009, which provide the opportunity for linear or re-sit candidates to complete their assessments
    * the last A2 exams are in summer 2009.
So basically, for people going in to A2 this september - if any of us mess up and want to take A2 again are there no chances
    Could someone explain please?
    Thanks...

From the information in that quote, it looks like you'd have to re-take the whole thing (AS+A2) again if you mess up next year.

I swear the QCA has said that all A2 units available in Summer 2009 will also be there in January 2010. It does effectively limit you to one retake - but not none.

Edexcel's spreadsheet does say differently: http://www.edexcel.com/notices/Docum...tor%20v2.4.xls
