Sounds like a completely doss subject.
In its current form it doesn't focus on 'black disenfranchisement'/ 'white privilege', if that's why you think it should be compulsory

we had something similar and it was a complete waste of option, had I had the 4th choice I would've picked French gcse and not been in the a level and idk what subject to study at uni mess lmao

I don’t know what that is but RS was a compulsory GCSE at my school. Technically it wasn’t compulsory because if your parents complained you could replace it with geography/history, but almost everyone did it.
It was an easy subject but we actually had a lot of fun, we did loads of debates and stuff.
