Ok, im going to study Biological science in Uni, this september. I have the chance and money to buy a laptop, even though i still have my old one, which is mine, but is used by me and my brother, its in an OK condition, i button missing, and a few scratches, other than that its fine. Do people who study this type of subject need a laptop for lectures etc? anybody have any advice? shall i get one, or not. I will also be staying at home, and commuting back and forth.

If i should get one, which one would you recommend?

There's nothing wrong with the good old fashioned method of notepad and pen in lectures :p:. I've hardly seen anybody with a laptop in a lecture before

If you have access to a computer, I would save your money unless you find that you really need one to take into your lectures.
