Does UCL really require you to have a grade 5 or above in a foreign language?

Hi, I was looking at UCL's entry requirements for some of their biology-related courses such as cancer biomedicine/ biomedical science and saw that they need students to have a grade 5 or above in a language GCSE. Is this really true or are there people who have got into UCL without it because I haven't seen this requirement anywhere else.
Yes, it's their requirement because they want rounded applicants! You can still apply if you don't have a 5 in a MFL at GCSE, and it won't make your application less competitive, but you'll have to take a language module in the first year of your degree.

Hope that helps
