It is a student website, so this is no surprise.

But why not neutral? Why does it have to be in favour of one over the other?

There are values on both left and right ring that are great, but why lean towards one?

The site itself endorses neither.

If you’re referring to the TSR news and current affairs forum in particular then I’d say it’s the complete opposite to liberal. Most threads tend to be increasingly right of centre and forever in support of Brexit with a lot of contempt for the EU and “remoaners” as we are often called on here. And there have been several racist threads recently Not entirely sure how many people on the TSR news forums are actually students at all or associated with education and academia? Sometimes I feel like I’ve entered a flat roof pub decorated with England flags and full of sun and Daily Mail readers and white van drivers rather than fellow students.

The other TSR forums are more liberal, more welcoming and you feel that you are communicating with fellow students or other academic people and can have a good discussion.

I don’t think this is correct, for me the site has quite a lot of centre-rights and right wingers. I think it’s quite 50/50 tbf, a good mix.

You make it sound like the website itself is leaning towards the left, which is utter nonsense. Forums cannot do that  If you mean by the people using the website, thats not exactly true. There is a good handful of users who lean towards the right.
Most people lean to one side, as their beliefs reflect to more of the left than the right, or vice versa. Thats why the 'left' and the 'right' exist in the first place.

I tend to find British people who use the word "liberal" in its American sense to disparage others tend to be right-wing crackpots that support an ideology that has no history or constituency in the UK - but instead is ripped off from the US Republicans, and not even the many decent ones.

Liberalism in the UK is so much wider, and has a strong place not just parties like the Liberal Democrats, but also the Conservatives. Our centre-right is largely a liberal centre-right and it's much better for it.

How can a forum itself lean towards the left? The whole point of a forum is so people can express their own opinions. If you see more liberal views on this website it's because people who post here generally lean to the left which is no surprise as it's mainly students.

It's quite obvious: students are left-wing (if that's what you mean by 'liberal')

Don't worry. There are still people who are right on the political spectrum. Napp and trapking are an example of that.

What do you mean by "waaay too left wing"? What does it constitute?

I’m not really interested in politics, just accuracy! TSR has saved me thousands of those British pounds, so I repay that ‘debt’ by contributing some of my spare time. There’s the occasional ‘establishment’ troll lurking here, but also many genuine serious, keen people, with questions and answers. Giving an average political vector of - precisely ‘neutral’

I don't find this to be the case, however I define liberalism in classical sense.

If you understand liberalism in modern sense, which is a rebranded form of socialism, then that might be the case.

Depends what you class as liberal.

This place is infested with leftists not liberals.

Edit I see my comment is a replica of many people above me.

You can tell who the left wing commenters are on this post.

You have summoned them.
