    Ok, I got 6A*s, 4As and a B in English Literature.

I got 78.5% UMS mark on my English Literature (157/200) and am wondering whether i should do a retake/remark?

    I got:
27/40-C on Drama Post-1914 (whose life is it anyway?) (one mark off a B)
78/100-B on Poetry and Prose Post-1914
52/60-A on Pre-1914 Coursework Texts (one mark off an A*)

Do people think I should do a remark, retake or not bother? I have a feeling that i need 80% UMS for an A

I am aware the mark could go down if i got a remark but i don't think it would go down to a C being that close to an A.

    Thanks

I don't think you should bother. And your results are amazing, one B doesn't ruin it at all.

    This.
    But with an added footnote:
It depends on what you want to go into. Obviously, if you want to take English Literature further in your studies, then I would get a remark. If not, don't bother - one B does not 'ruin' your results.

Your coursework brought it down more than anything, I think.
However you're nearly at an A grade, so id get it remarked.

Don't bother - unless you want to do English it's completely irrelevant, and no university anywhere is ever going to deny you a place if you're otherwise perfect because of one B. A perfect academic record is really not that important.

it wont make any difference really, other grades are pretty awesome so i wouldnt bother if i were you
if you want to have a long shot then just send it all for a remark and if it works it works if not then really dont worry because nobody will really care
i think youre just worrying yourself lolllll

Go for it. I got a B for my english language when I did GCSEs and was 5 marks off an A. I got a remark and went up 15 marks, leaving me with a fairly comfortable A. I personally don't think that you've got anything to lose, especially as you only need 3 UMS marks! Good luck

    Woahhh 15 marks!
When you request a remark, do they remark all of your papers?
I'm pretty hopeful i would go up because i've only ever got a B on any practice paper and i didn't think the exams went too badly.

I hadn't gotten a B in any practice papers either, so I'd say you've got nothing to lose by remarking. Its highly unlikely that you'll got down to a C as you're so far into the B boundary.

I'm not sure if they mark all the papers or not, but ask your school's exams officer and they can tell you

Don't think so. Grade boundries were very high this year I would have guessed. I got 100% in the exam and b+ coursework and got 'A' overall so i'm guessing they would have been high.

issue resolved...apparently i was about 2/3 marks off so the school, who thinks that quite a few of the results were lower than they should have been, are getting it remarked
