I know exactly how you feel. You won't get any sympathy here because you got 8A's and 1 A*, you will get the usual 'shut up you got good results', 'your results a fiiiiiine' but I know you feel disappointed. When I got my results I was happy, but when I found out I missed the next grade up in 5 subjects, I was disappointed and refrained from reading the results; I did the day after and it made me feel in the 'middle of the cream' rather then the 'creme de la creme' :P: Don't worry, you're not alone!
thankkkkkkkkkkk you, i felt so alone

    OP-They're good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant infact. But he feels disappointed as they could have been better, but people seem to think that if someone gets mainly A's, they will be happy, regardless of falling short of satisfaction for themselves.

Yes and if the OP doesn't want people to point out they're good and abuse him for starting such a thread..maybe he shouldn't have because other people would die for A*and A's.But I do get the whole self satisfaction thing.

AH! i'm sorry but if i got those results when i only revised 3 days before the exam i'd be over the effing moon. it really aggravates me how people complain about getting 9 a's as if it's bad. granted, you may have been able to achieve better ones but if you didn't work for them then you don't deserve them. stop complaining, people did a lot worse than you.

I've only just managed to come back on the GCSE forum and looking at everyone's results is making me insanely jealous! I wasn't particularly happy with my results (I definitely didn't get TSR standard results) and I'm disappointed that I put in LOADS of effort, I thought I'd done really well but my results ended up being quite rubbish.

Still, I'm going to learn from this and try to be more organised in sixth form and start revising months earlier as I definitely don't want to feel as disappointed as I am right now again :/

You've done brilliantly! TSR does that to people - it gives them a complex if they have anything less than 10A*. Put things into perspective and you have really done amazingly well. Congratulations; put this behind you and move on to A Levels.

Edit: And you don't deserve all that neg rep; last year I felt so awful when I got an A in Statistics and was expecting an A*.
