hey guys i struggle a lot with remembering key facts and i don't really do good in school academic wise. I get the idea of what i'm learning it's just when it comes to remembering them. for mostly ( biology, physics, chemistry, maths, business, and history) those are the main subjects. Can i have any tips for revising for all those subjects? and any effective things to help me remember things? iv'e seen lots of stuff like sticky notes on your wall, or read it out 3x and write it down and all that but it just doesn't work out. PLEASE SEND HELP i'm so depressed about all this studying i have to do and GCSEs. All i want is to get a neutral pass so i could get into a sixth form that does photography A-levels xx please and thank you guys <3

Hi, there is an app called Anki that you can download onto your computer (free) iphone (£24) or android phone (free) which is basically a flashcard app but it uses spaced repetition to ensure that you remember the information for a long time. Watch a few videos on You-Tube on how to use it and how to use it effectively (I've linked some down below for the latter). I would recommend you make short flashcards form either the specification or textbooks (I like CGP). This would be great for key ideas and keywords in business studies, key ideas and dates in history, key facts and concepts in science, and then for maths make an Excel/google sheets page of all the maths topics and colour code them on how hard you find them and then tackle the most difficult each day (and then colour is again on how hard you find it). I would recommend, if your school uses it, to revise from MathsWatch. If your school doesn't use MathsWatch, I would recommend you use MathsGenie.

If you use Anki: MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE FLASHCARDS SHORT AND CONCISE, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!! Preferably one word or one idea.

The you-tuber and videos I'm talking about for Anki (very important you watch these if you are going to use anki): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OlmAJMOHfk&t=135s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcKsFm38b5s

Anki download: https://apps.ankiweb.net/

Good luck and I hope this helped.

You probably arent doing the right revision techniques. Find out what learner you are and try different revision techniques for that type of learner and it will be so helpful for you later on. For me, I'm a more practical learner so I learn through questions and I would not be able to revise with videos so it would be useful doing that technique since its ineffective
