What exactly is it you are looking for? This gives their new method of short-listing applicants, which is now effectively 75% GCSEs and 25% UCAT

Has the minimum age requirement for A100 changed at Liverpool ? Are they flexible with the minimum age?

Nobody minds offering advice (it is why we are here), but this is literally in big bold lettering on the front page of their website

The word "must" does not suggest flexibility
Thanks for this thread

Don’t know, what I have linked looks like their new plan for 2021 entry. I don’t use UCAS, so haven’t looked, sorry
Is there a Uni Rep for Liverpool ?

Hi, would you be able to share your ucat scores and GCSEs , please don't feel pressured to but I just wanted to get a sense of what kind of scores and GCSEs are typical for Liverpool medicine

Past scores and academics are likely to be irrelevant this year, as Liverpool have totally changed their selection process and are now very GCSE heavy, whereas in recent years you just needed to meet a GCSE threshold score and shortlisting was then based on UCAT

ahh thanks, that's really in my favour because I'm very confident in my GCSEs but not too sure about getting a really high ucat score

Hello, I don't know my UCAT score as it was four years ago but my GCSEs were A*-As

Very true. The process has changed a lot since I first applied. Considering you'll be applying for 2021 entry I would definitely check out each Med School's entry requirement:

https://www.medschools.ac.uk/media/2701/msc-entry-requirements-for-uk-medical-schools-2021.pdf

&

Liverpool's can be found here:

https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/media/livacuk/schoolofmedicine/admissions/Liverpool,Departmental,Supplement,E21.pdf

https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/medicine/study-with-us/undergraduate/admissions-information/

Tip: have a look at all medical schools, create a spreadsheet and play to your strengths.

Hope that helps.

Happy to answer any other questions.

hello there guys, I will be applying for 2021 entry soon just wanted to know what score roughly you believe will be safe for an interview.
GCSE score: 23
Scaled GCSE score: 69
UCAT prediction score: 20.5 - 21.5
which makes a total score of 89.5 - 90.5 out of a possible 108, will this be enough for interview, I do acknowledge that it is a bit difficult to tell at the minute but any sort of rough guide would be very much appreciated.

Unfortunately, nobody has any idea as a significant change to selection procedure such as this can totally change the applicant cohort. This year, Liverpool is going to attract all those with high A*s at GCSE and possibly lower UCAT scores.
8A*s and an A plus a typical average UCAT of 2480 would score 97.5, each dropped A* takes 3 off, each dropped 50 points on UCAT takes 1.....
