I didn't realise some people only did 9.. you must kind of get bored of having the same lessons all the time even if it does mean it's easier to get straight A*s. lol :p:

I think unis count your top 8 or something like that, although I'm not 100% on this. It makes sense though, as why should someone who took less be at a disadvantage; we have to take however many our school makes us take. It's not like people can chose their amount of GCSEs like one can with A Levels.

    11. Should really be 10 though (got ones in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Core Science, but the Core Science syllabus is just the exact same as the first 2 modules of each separate science, so I shouldn't really be allowed it, but I think I am, I dunno.)

Speaking of dodgy awards, my friend got a C in GCSE English (Foundation tier), and an A in GCSE English (Higher tier), listed as two separate grades on his results sheet. 0_O

They just look at them as a whole I think, they don't go "oh, that person did 11, so we'll ignore the worst 3."

    i did 10 academic subjects

you should have had another stipulation that anyone taking 4 ICT and "insert dumb subject here eg media/sport/cooking" studies shouldnt participate in the poll because they skew the results and make people like piecebypiece look stupid when actuall 9/10/11 is the perfect amount to do
