Cryfield Townhouses - What are they like?

Was looking at this accommodation for 2020/21, mainly after a social area with people that are easy-going and like to go out. And this place seemed really nice, and with a townhouse setup with 12 people, seems it would be more sociable?

Anyone have any experience with this place and whether my initial thoughts here are accurate or not?

I was initially attracted to them too, but after visiting a friend living there I am so glad I didn't choose them. They are extremely hard to socialise in compared to other halls, as there are only about 2 rooms per floor so it's easier to stay in your bedroom rather than go down often 4 flights of stairs just to sit in an overly modern and clinical kitchen. The rooms themselves are actually very tiny and not a good layout. Also one of the worst things for me is that they put this horrible comic book/pop art design in the rooms. There was a large fixed canvas with some superhero thing on it which my friend couldn't take down. Overall it seemed like a very antisocial and isolated accodation!

I have however heard that cryfield standard is very sociable and nice, the only accom on campus with a common room/film room.
