The one I recommended definitely fits that criteria But also, from the same author, The Mortal Instruments is also so so good.

nkva I imagine you would absolutely adore the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr. After that, a masterfully written series for young adults, that is criminally under-looked, would be the Tales of the Otori by Lian Hearn (her real name is Gillian Rubinstein but she originally chose to write this series under a pseudonym).

Kallisto Think you could add any series meant for young adults? This thread took me back a decade or so. :lol:
