I got an offer from Coventry University, oxford Brooks University, and Greenwich University. I applied as a business management major. Which one has a better program? Which one gives some sort of scholarship to international students? Which one is ranked higher? Can I please get your opinions? Thank you in advance

Hi ssdakh,

Congratulations on all your offers, well done! I have just finished LLB International Law at Coventry University. Both Law and Business Management are within the same faculty so I am more than happy to answer your questions.

In terms of the Business Management program at Coventry University, it is accredited by EPAS from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). If you are an international student, you should find that beneficial as a degree will be well-regarded outside the UK as well. Throughout three (or four years) of studies, you have an Add+vantage module, that is an additional module that you can choose from all the modules available on campus. To enhance your specialistic knowledge and get that industry focus, on your final year you can choose your optional modules from 3 different pathways: global focus, leadership focus and supply chain management focus. Your studies will be supported by our brand new facilities, including Business Simulation Suite to prepare you for a successful career. If you decide to go on Erasmus or placement (year-long paid internship with the industry), you do not pay any tuition fees for that year. We have an amazing partnership with employers and Employment tutors and employment fairs are there to help you achieve your goals. If you want to familiarise yourself with the details of the degree, please click here: https://www.coventry.ac.uk/course-st...ement-ba-hons/

I am an international student myself and Coventry University is great with their scholarship offer! I, myself, got the European High Achievers Scholarship for my A-level equivalents results and the scholarship was extended for all the years of studying due to my degree results. Since the scholarship offering changes yearly, I highly advise checking the current offering on our website: https://www.coventry.ac.uk/internati...-scholarships/

Coventry University is top 15 UK University and we are regularly recognised for a student-friendly city and our teaching quality (we were awarded TEF Gold for teaching standards). Given current pandemic, I think it is important to mention that Coventry University was one of a few UK Universities recognised by Guardian as an institution capable to provide a high-quality online teaching. In fact, University is planning to introduce a new online teaching platform called AULA.

I hope you find it well. If you have any questions about the course, University or Coventry, please ask them here. We're more than happy to help!

Kind regards,

Monika

I doubt it makes much difference, id probably say Brookes & Coventry are slightly more regarded then Greenwich but overall id say none of these are particularly esteemed business schools. Id say wherever you go just focus on being a good student and building a strong CV, this will be much more impactful.

Hello ssdakh,

Hope you are doing well! Congratulations on receiving your offers!

I am a current student at Oxford Brookes University and even though I do not study Business Management, I know students who do study it and enjoy the course.

If you would like more information about the course, I would recommend signing up for the 'Oxford Brookes University Under Graduate Open Day', which will be taking place Tomorrow, Saturday 27/06/2020. Find out more at: https://www.brookes.ac.uk/open-days/...rtual-open-day

You can also register for the 'Business Management Live Webinar' at '10.00', as you will be able to ask questions and speak directly to staff from the Business School at Oxford Brookes University. If this is something that would interest you, feel free to book a place at the following link: https://register.gotowebinar.com/reg...16661658504974

Oxford Brookes does offer scholarships for international student and you can find out more about these on the following page of the University website: https://www.brookes.ac.uk/internatio...ncial-support/

Hi @ssdakh,

Congratulations on all your offers!

At the University of Greenwich, each student is assigned a personal tutor who is your first port of call. Your personal tutor will be with you from the first week at university, all the way up to your graduation ceremony. Your programme leader is also there to support your learning throughout your studies alongside student reps for each course who can bring any issues students are having to the forefront of conversation during faculty meetings.
Furthermore, we have the student union who is available to support students with different aspects of your university career; offering impartial advice on any issues you may be facing. Our student well-being team has a fantastic reputation and can offer support or advice for students who have financial, physical or mental hardship and can offer support and counselling to the students who require it.

The first year of our business programmes has a module included called PPD (Personal and Professional Development) which is all about developing yourself in preparation for your professional career. This is led by the BSEO (Business School Employability Office) whose sole purpose is getting our students ready for career-ready and is available to help with CV building, interview skills, public speaking, job seeking and so much more; from the day you make your application and the support continues after you graduate too! Our Business School also has strong ties with businesses based in Canary Wharf; which you can see from across the river at the Greenwich campus! (where our Business School is based).

For information on scholarships for international students, we recommend you visit our website: https://www.gre.ac.uk/international/...s-scholarships
As an international student, you would not need to apply separately for any of the scholarships found in the link above as they would be considered as part of your application.
You can also apply for the International Scholarships Award which awards students up to £3,000 in their first year. The deadline dates for applications and further information can be found here: https://www.gre.ac.uk/bursaries/inte...larships-award

For specific advice, you can email the international team directly via [email protected]. They are specifically trained on all queries regarding international students and are more than happy to help.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us through direct message, LiveChat us on our website, telephone or email. If you're interested in finding out more you can sign up for our open day here: https://www.gre.ac.uk/events/upcoming-event/?e=2107

We wish you all the best, on your journey to finding the university suited to you!
