Hull has an amazing politics department and i think if you get an offer you should go there. I got an unconditional offer from hull but i still prefer Sheffield or Manchester.

Hull is rightly ranked highly for Politics for a few reasons. It is the leading department on British Government and Parliamentary Politics, with one professor, the Conservative Peer - Lord Norton of Louth, perhaps the most knowledgable man on the British political Constitution and Parliament - he is consulted regulary by the Government over House of Lords reform.

The department also has quite a few internship placements in Westminster, and I think these are for the entire summer between second and third year- no other university has such a number of internship at Hull, and they are highly regarded.

The library is excellent too, they have copies of every Hansard ever made.

Hope that helps.

And it is ranked high for all the right reasons..

Have you heard of the Hull Mafia? Lord Norton is one of the lectures at Hul who is regarded as the greatest living expert on British Parliament.. If your applying for politics don't even think twice to apply for Hull. Esp BPLS
