How bad is this? It feels like hell

I am 21 Male and have to share a bedroom with my parent. I am stuck here until 3rd year uni in mid September where I move out again. It feels like such a long way away.

She is super over protective and tries to control my life. It feels like hell.

I have no privacy. It feels like hell. The way she tries to control makes me feel like I am being severely held back in life as an adult

How long have you been sharing a room? I couldn’t cope with that personally.
It’s obviously not great. However at least you have a place to stay and a roof over your head. I would try to be thankful for what I had and make sure to start applying for jobs ASAP when 3rd year begins so you know you can move out straight away!
Your overall situation is not bad at all.

You have your youth. You have your health.

You will graduate in a years time. Following which you will be able to make a comfortable living and you will be able to live in any part of the world that you want.

It's summertime now. We're having some great weather.

You are paying minimal rent.

Your mum loves you very much. Even though some of her actions may be misguided.

You could try seeing if you could get a fruit picking job over the next 3 months.
