Hi, has anyone had their video interview for this? I've applied for one at Leeds. I get in a fluster before an interview, any help with questions much appreciated.
In the interview make sure your passion for the subject comes through - maybe listen to some podcasts in your spare time, do something above and beyond

Hi there,
The questions are pretty standard. You get asked things like times you overcame a challenge, how you would introduce yourself to your colleagues, how would you approach solving a problem in stages and why, a time you received negative feedback and how you dealt with it. Just things like that. It really isn't too difficult. Just make sure you prepare well and you'll be fine.

i honestly thought i did horrible but just got my reply today, they said i passed yay. how about you? it took around 5 days for them to respond
I got rejected from the interview even though I answered all the questions to the best of my abilities and mentioned my prior cyber sec knowledge, who are they looking for?!
aw i’m sorry to hear that, i honestly don’t know because i haven’t got a lot of experience within cyber security as i’ve just finished college and just said how interested i was in it and that it was something i was passionate about. they said they would get back to me about the assessment centre. don’t be disheartened, i’m sure better opportunities will arise for you

i would say they ask more about personal skills, they never asked questions about my experience just things like, why do you think this apprenticeship is best suited for you? or tell us about yourself... things like that.

I think I'm more nervous to do a video interview than if it was an in-person one. Do you remember how many questions they asked or how long it lasted?
i was too! i thought i did terrible. Basically they give you a practice question and give you as many times as you want to practice it but remember it isn’t the actual thing. So practice that and it should calm your nerves... then they ask a question and give you i think 60 seconds to prepare and answer and then the video counts down from 3 and you have 90 seconds to answer that question. I was extremely nervous but make sure to keep eye contact with the camera and avoid saying urm. Try preparing answers for times you solved a problem, worked within a team, what you would do if you got the job and had a problem to solve.. things like that! Good luck
