I am going into my final year of university on a BA Honors in Dance, my dissertation has no limits it can be on anything I want.

I am very much interested in the science side of dance and performed really well in an essay about Alexander technique and yoga/pilates and how they can help with my alignment issues etc.

Someone on my course is doing the psychological effects injury has on a dancers life and I like the ideas she is leaning towards (you know science stuff).

I am leaning towards something like how dance helps Parkinson's disease or the effects dance has on this etc etc if that makes sense.

Could anyone help me with some ideas or topics closely related? I am really struggling and my proposal is due tomorrow.

Thanks in advance!

How dance combined with muscle memory can improve the memory of someone struggling with parkinsons or dementia or something? Does dance help with hormone imbalances which have led to mental health issues?

You have really left it late. Did your dissertation supervisor not advise you to look at existing dissertations that have already been carried to act as a stimulus for your own ideas? Your library can direct you to dissertation databases like Ethos or PQDT Open or NDLTD

You mentioned dance and Parkinsons. Here are links to dissertations that explored this topic - your own research can build on what these researchers have done but perhaps with a new angle. I am assuming you have access to people suffering from Parkinsons that you can interview/ observe?

Pretty sure she means for next academic year, now is a totally normal time to be thinking about dissertation topic.

My 'left it late' comment was questioning why the OP was asking for help the day before the proposal submission.
