i swear, if ANYONE said to me the a levels are getting easier, ill actually harm them

    haha
LOL! It's definitely stressful! But I'm off out to enjoy my bank holiday and take my mind off it for a few hours or so!

Good luck with it all for the future!

Its not impossible to get AAA even with those AS grades you have it only becomes impossible after your AS levels are below a C i saw don't worry about it too much if you want to retake the AS modules to make yourself more comfortable then go ahead and do it but its not absolutly neccessary if you get A grades on your A2 modules.

A levels started from 2009 are easier as most exam boards cut a 1/3 of the course with only 4 exams to be taken instead of 6

I got ABCC (inc. a B in my degree subjects) at AS, was made to declare them, given predicted A2 grades of AAB, wrote a PS that my tutor told me was 'excellent' (she doesn't use that word very often), given an 'excellent' reference, and have received offers of ABB, ABB, BBB and BBB/ABC, and I am waiting on one that wants AAB.

Oh wow, I haven't been on here for a long time - I'm the OP of this thread! Wow, just realised! This thread is way old!

Update - (I got three A's despite though not-so-good AS-level results) GO FOR IT! If you work hard it can be done! I'm proof!

Definitely do.. but make sure you include uni's that you KNOW you'll be able to get into too. I thought it was pointless to apply above my grades, but I did and I got an offer. It's also motivated me so much to improve my grades. Good luck!

You're in a very good position with your predictions don't worry. I'm not sure what your schools policy is, but most don't cash in AS grade i.e certify them, so you don't have to enter them on the UCAS form. All you enter is "pending" and that's what the unis will see, along with your A2 predictions. Just retake those modules to boost to AAAA and you'll be fine. All the best
Sorry to bring this up again, but say my school predicts me grades for AS/A2 im sitting in one year (due to shocking choices) can I put them on my ucas form?

Lol! I couldn't remember, but I checked my certificates:

One was 223/240 (Philosophy) and the other was 235/240 (Economics - though I didn't take this to A2-level; just re-took one of my modules to get it up to an A at AS-level).

The C in History was 206/300 - re-took all modules, though I did worse in one of them! Still got an A at A2-level though by making up the marks in other modules.

Yes but have lower options too I got ABCDE in my ASs, predicted AABD, I've got an AAB offer and I'm confident I can meet it, done a couple of retakes and reckon things should be groovy. GL

    Edit

Didn't realise this was a prehistoric topic! :P

u shld apply to aab uni's maybe an abb as an insurance, i got A,A(just),C,D,D at AS, and applied to AAA/AAB unis, and ended up getting A,A,A,B(almost A) at A2 and got accepted by the AAA uni(ucl), so yea, if u put the effort in, try hard, DO RESITS!, u will be fine, plus u can go through clearing if u miss the mark
What course did you apply for?
