Yup, just print the application form of the website, fill it in and hand it in your local Argos.

Do u think u should contact them beforehand, so that you know whether that specific branch is recruiting or not?

What if I was to NOT apply at my local store and chose to apply for a different one? Would I still get considered??
Reply 4
You don't really need to contact them, all Argos recruit temporary christmas staff, just pop in and hand in your form.

Well, if you was to apply at a different store that isn't as local - I'm sure they wouldn't care as long as you was able to get to work on time.

Is sending the form off by POST ok, or do I have to send it in by hand?
Reply 6
Sending it off by post would be fine as long as you address it to something like 'Argos - Personnel Department' along with the usual address, post code, etc.

Last christmas I was taken on as a xmas temp at argos and after the xmas period had ended I was kept on as were a lot of the xmas temps. As for the shift patterns, they vary between long and short shifts but during the xmas period they are longer as it is a busier time of year for argos!!
when do they start recruiting? I know you can apply now but are they actually looking for people to start now?
Reply 12
they look for people to start between the end of august and the start of october

I applied about 2 weeks ago now, heard nothing. I presume no luck? :frown:

I wouldn't say that. No one really recruits for christmas untill the end of this month - start of September'ish. Don't say your out of luck untill maybe end of September.

Just keep applying everywhere handing in your CV and application forms.

Ooooh I did that last year.... personally I hated every minute of it! But that was mostly down to the people being quite unfriendly (staff and customers) I just filled in the form they gave me instore and handed it in to them.

I picked up one today, gonna fill it out tomorrow and hand it in tomorrow.

I don't have previous employers should I just leave it blank? Also do I just hand in the page I got, do I need a CV with it?? Because I haven't made one before... well I have, but not a recent and up to date one.

Also when is the 'time period' of christmas? It doesn't really tell you which is weird since I can do more hours if it told me the dates, but I think am just gonna fill it out like am in school
Oh yeah, and anyone know what the pay is approx. for this?
