I want to study zoology at uni but just wondered if that was an acceptable degree to do to go into animal/wildlife conservation? Do masters programmes accept a zoology degree or would they prefer biology/conservation degrees for a masters in wildlife or animal conservation?

You don’t need a degree for most wildlife conservation jobs. Zoology is a biology degree without any plant based content - it won’t normally include any direct contact with animals.
