This HP Envy should be enough for most tasks at £850. It also has the brightest screen on any laptop, though it has a glossy finish which counters this.

If you are willing to pay a bit more(or give up some storage), look at the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3. It has a taller, sharper screen than the envy, an arguably keyboard, better trackpad, better speakers and quieter fans.

I don’t have many requirements, I’m just gonna use it for uni work(essays, presentations etc.) so I’m not really interested in touch screen as the computer I have not has it but I never use it, I would just prefer it to have a lot of storage

Fit a 500 GB SSD into your Lenovo laptop and you should be good to go at blistering pace on that and thereby save yourself £900.
