I have just registered for UCAS but I have no clue what I want to study at university. I am planning to spend a gap year in Japan and I would like to take Japanese but I haven't taken a language at a-level. My subjects are: Politics, Economics and Religious Studies. Could somebody suggest some subjects that may be of interest to me, and that I could take with my a-levels?

You could do PPE (philosophy, politics and economics)- it's a really respected degree. Also law sounds like a good one if you're interested in that- you could specialise in Japanese law and then do a gap year there as part of your degree? Which of your a levels do you like the most?

Some universities offer language modules as extra credits/classes that can be taken along with your actual course. PPE definitely sounds suitable for uni considering your A levels - you just need to be sure that that's what you want. Law also sounds great as the person above me said and whilst taking these courses you can maybe take Japanese as your language extra class. Maybe you would like just economics or business?
