A friend of mine said she genuinely put effort in at AS, and I did believe her. She's never been that academic but still went through GCSEs and then college. She ended up with four Us last year, and was left with the option to either study as much as possible and retake the year, quit and get a job, or do some other course. She ended up retaking the year.

Same with one of my politics units. Everyone got Es or Us. They've sacked the teacher who taught us that unit, which is a shame, we all liked him :frown:

Would that be because he shared his drugs before, after and during lessons?

I got BDUU for AS level. Though I did get AAAB (all As after one gap year resit during the summer session) by the end of my A levels.

Reply 64

Yes. My former maths teacher got UUU because his mum died during his exam time. He managed to get onto a foundation course, then promoted onto a degree in two weeks because he was obviously intelligent.

Reply 65

No. But i bet it's a lot less than the people who achieved AAA.

you're all such snobs. seriously, look at all the great people in our planets history. how many of those had 10 A* at GCSE. you're all too caught up in something that isn't that important in the grand scheme of things. open your eyes abit

Yeah I do agree with you people like Richard Brandson, Duncan Banatyne and Sir Alan Sugar left school young.

yep I knew two, one became a barman, the other took an access course and got into university

I read that as "one became a batman"

lol
off topic but it made me giggle.
It just shows you dont need excellent A2 grades to get jobs. x

Bad form :frown:

He was a good teacher ... okay, well actually he wasn't, otherwise we'd have passed his unit, but he was friendly at least, which is better than our other one who was just bat**** insane.

Reply 77

Yes i do. She cried her eyes out and resat the year and ended up with an AAB.

Reply 78

Nope, one of my friends got EE though. Nice guy, I'm glad there are so many options for people in his situation.

Reply 79

one of my friends got UUU, he was definately not the most clever person in the world, but he didn't put much effort into his a-levels either
