I haven't really used php but something looks off about the i being outside the parenthesis of the include_header() function

You could try including the php files and using functions from them.
I used the first solution here: Stack overflow link

Hi again dalbyc,
It only asked you to use the include_sidebar(); function and include_footer(); function.
You should type the include_sidebar(); function on the blank line (line 7) and type the include_footer(); function on line 8 without removing the rest of the code.
