    o.K this is going to sound very stupid, so sorry for those who get bored.

    On here I keep seeing people talk about UMS points etc.. Are these the same as UCAS? My school has never mentioned them, nor have they mentioned cashing in AS's etc..

    ums are the scaled marks you get in each paper which work out your final grade (80 for an A, 70 for a B etc)

    UCAS points are their own thing which gives unis another way of giving you an entry requirement
