    hi, i got my As results this year and got AAAA in applied business, ict, geography and Maths and i wanted to apply to trinity dublin (i am from northern Ireland) for economics but a friend of mine said that they wouldn't accept applied a-levels. Considering i have 2, can i apply. Is this true?

    worth a try isnt it? better than just not applying cos someone said they wouldnt take you

    Applied A-levels are not accepted.

    Get in touch with the admissions office anyway though, and see what they say.

    You should still apply and then later on send a covering letter, begging for a place. That is what I did (in very different circumstances), and it must have helped. You apply through the CAO. It is very probably too late for this year… they fill all their places. Economics (either in BESS or arts) is fairly competitive. But you might get onto some computer or business combination further down the pecking order. No guarantee though, so make applications elsewhere.
