    Did you go?

I didn't bother because I've been to a fair few already and they're just too damn busy. Not to mention somewhat dangerous given the number of inner-city black youths present. Now before you go mad about that statement, consider this: 100 000 Celtic football fans went to the cup final in Seville, despite being cheated out of the game, there were 0 arrests that day. Also consider the number of people who attend St Patricks Day celebrations. How many people get stabbed then? Feck all. 160+ arrests over Sunday/Monday at Notting Hill, for posession of offensive weapon, drugs, theft, assaults and POs

It's a shame because the Carnival is supposed to be a way of showcasing the fantastic culture brought to London by black Caribbeans, not the problems brought.

Even more trouble last night. Like someone correctly pointed out, if an annual football match generated this much trouble it would be canceled and the organisers (the clubs) heavily fined. But instead the opposite happens, it gets bigger each year and gets more funding.

A demonstration of Black culture in the UK? Arguably it went pretty well.
