Parking

Hi, I will be commuting for my Postgraduate study at the university. The links into Newcastle are okay but it would take me much longer by public transports from an hour to an hour and half. Driving in would take at most 30 minutes. Is there anywhere to park near by? I would not be fussed about walk 10-15 minutes.

Hi Anonymous,

It's great to hear you're studying a postgraduate degree with us  Unfortunately, there is limited spaces on campus but there are plenty of spaces to park around our campus. With Eldon Square shopping centre just under 5 minutes walk away, there is plenty of room in the shopping centre's multi-story car parks. You can learn more about this here: https://bit.ly/2NUThH8

Also, if you would like to find out how other students commute to university and if they can offer any tips, you can always speak to them via our Unibuddy platform here: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/study/contact/unibuddy/

Hope this helps & good luck with your programme!

You can do some reading or study on public transport, which you can't do by car. Worth thinking about.

hi,

Thank you but I get travel sick easily. I travelled from portsmouth to Newcastle every two months and it took 7 hours on trains, could not study  The car was a quick decision.

Thanks though
