Hey, I was wondering if anyone has any good books, films or TV shows that I could watch which will help me prepare for my History A-level before I start in September? I have been set work from my college so I just want something lighter which I can do in addition.
I will be doing the following:
Breadth Component: The Tudors: England, 1485-1603
Depth Component: France in Revolution, 1774-1815
Historical Investigation: Civil Rights in the USA, 1865-c. 1980
Thank you x

The Tudors
Winter King: The Dawn of Tudor England by Thomas Penn (there's also a documentary with the same name on Youtube, unless it's been taken down already)
The Private Lives of the Tudors by Tracy Borman
Henry Viii and the Men Who Made Him by Tracy Borman
Elizabeth: The Forgotten Years by John Guy
Civil Rights in the USA
Malcolm X's Autobiography - it is sooooo good
CrashCourse videos are quite good as well for an overview of the topics
Hope that helps
