Course work -Need help finding a modern text to compare to Frankenstein

For course work I am thinking of doing Frankenstien for my pre-1900 text and was going to compare it to Dracula (another pre-1900 text).
Do you know if I would lose marks for doing two pre-1900 texts? and do you have any ideas of what I could possibly do for a modern text if I want talk about something within the themes of corruption, isolation, societal rejection? Any help would be amazing!!!
