Plan B: If rejected, work as HCA/other, save up money, and plan the most fantastic gap year (which would probably be quite exciting) and reapply the following year.

Got to keep positive.

A: Get offer and go to uni
B: Get 4 rejections so work for a year (as HCA probably) and then reapply for 2010 entry. If I got rejected then I'd go and do Chemistry and then apply as a graduate I think.

I already have the grades so that's not an issue for me (thank goodness for the Scottish system!!)

I had the toughest, most gruelling, 4 interviews at Ox yesterday and Sunday. It was so fast-paced, so......

I had to be completely alert, every last millisecond of it - it really was that scary! Afterward, I was just like: 'woah.' with my brain spinning like crazy.... it still is!!!!

But somehow, i loved every last minute of it!

Plan:

A - Get an interview > offer > meet the grades and get into med school!
B - Get four rejections yet get the grades; prepare to reapply and sit the UKCAT again! (I am never ever going to sit the BMAT again.)
C - Get four rejections and just miss the grades; either resit some modules or...
D - Go through Clearing via some related degree and apply via GEP entry.

yeah i wouldn't. Clearly if second time round no offers then clearly medicine may not be for you.

Personally, i would start considering other degree options but not in the respect of then going into medicine after 3-4 years.

That's my kind of thinking. I don't want it that much, so I'd have to work my ass off for 4 years to get into a position I could have been without that.

Medicine isn't the be all and end all for me.

I'd probably see where my other degree (Chemistry probably) took me and probably I wouldn't apply as a graduate... but who knows :P. I'd quite like to get in this year and never have to deal with it at all!

We can't do that :'(
we're the last year of the old specification so we'd have to resit the whole 2 years

For me if worst comes to worst I'll be a phlebotomist for a year
if worst comes to worst comes to worst and I dont get the grades I will probs have to go into clearing because biomed offer is AAB :'(

To be honest though thats one of the reasons i love medicine. Opportunities are vast in medicine. One of the people who helped me understand the difficulties of medicine is now interculating in chemistry! Even by doing medicine, doors aren't necessarily closed!

Hence im so determined to get in. Nevertheless, if i didn't get in then maybe i need to rethink about what i want to be.
