Sorry to butt into this thread, but when did you all start thinking about which unis to apply to?
    Beginning of AS.

Serious thinking after AS grades, but ensure that you have atleast reviewed some before June (so then you can attend their open days).

while it's worth having some idea of where you want to apply relatively early (so you can visit places and find out more about them), you need to be prepared to change your choices depending on UKCAT (if you do well, it's safe to apply to all, if not, it might be worth applying to places where it doesn't matter so much etc)

    The BMAT is 10X harder.
    :ditto:

But I must add that every single mark counts on the BMAT - your average mark over the sections isn't calculated like in the UKCAT; each section is worth its own merit.

Sometimes you might end up missing out on an interview at a uni by just one or two marks in a particular section.

    Oh well, such is life!

    Me? Bitter? Never!!:ninja:

I'm happy with just the one offer. :yep:

But yes, Ignoramus, do pick your uni choices wisely.
    Good Luck with the application.

i started seriously thinking about med in yr 11 (though i did think about it in yr 10 but not serisuly enough). I had done all my work experience between yr 11 and 12. early yr 12 i shortlisted unis which was then refined after as results. the final decisions as to where i was going to apply was done in early september. it took me 2 and half years to put my app together over all.

    Oh...

That's actually kind of dissapointing. This means you don't even acknowledge me.

Are my PM's not creepy enough?
