The guy at occupational health at the hospital where I am volunteering wouldn't give me my hep B vacc because it was "too much of a commitment if you don't even know if you'll be going to med school" cheers for the vote of confidence lol!
Tell me about it. My GP didn't want to sign the questionnaire I got sent as part of my Oxford offer because he said it was a waste of time when I might not get the grades.

I know, perhaps it's for the best he didn't have a chance to give me any vaccinations after all.
Yeah I can, that's what I'm going to do I think.
Fingers crossed your GP practise is willing!

*i don't think i'd want injections from someone who hadn't heard of HPV! especially considering the ongoing celebrity cervical cancer headlines...*

By the by, do we have to pay for these ourselves, I take it? Mine's going to cost me £140-£175.

I said to him "I think it's worth telling you that I am due to have my 3rd dose of the HPV vaccination at the beginning of next month."
    "The what?"
"HPV Vaccination - to help reduce the risk of cervical cancer."
"Sorry I don't know what you are talking about, I'll just have a quick look on NHS direct."
