Right. Looks cool, checking his page right now hehe.
How did you come to read them though?

Edit: Wow, this would be so interesting as a computer-game and movie as well.

One day in the distant future, time machines will be standard equipment in the History departments of universities.

Haven't read the whole thread so sorry if some of this has already been said.

Firstly, the argument that if time travel were possible there would be time travellers around today doesn't really work. How can we be sure that time travellers aren't around? There are actually people who claim to be from the future.

Secondly, time travel is possible.. in theory anyway. I'm sure the physics is complicated but most experts agree that it's just not very easy to do.

The possibility suggested in the MSN article sounds interesting. I have no idea how likely it is, but I'd guess not very because it would have had a more prominent place in all the discussions.

altho this is a good point, theoretically at least it is possible. Space is like a peice of paper that can be bent onto itself making each end touch.. i.e present and future. That would be one method of time travel.

Second method would be to go into a black hole. Black holes suck time and matter in and through a wormhole then spread it out from a white hole, however this raises many problems. For a start the amount of energy you'd need to sustain a large enough size black hole is enormous, secondly you cannot choose where it leads. Albert Einstein beleived that black holes may even lead time and matter out into a few white holes, so you may not come out the other side in 1 piece basically.

Since no one from the future has ever 'visited' us, I think it is safe to say that time travel will never be possible.
Read relativity in detail. It is possible.
