Acne help!

Hi,
Wondering if anyone on here as ever used anything to treat acne? I had acne so so badly when I was younger and it’s left me with scarring, I started the pill when I was 16 and it cleared up amazingly but now it’s returning :frown:( just wondering if anyone has had any success stories for acne scars and spots and could recommend any products either over the counter/home remedies or through prescription. Thank you!

it's worse if it comes back that means it's the permanent kind :cry2:

I had the same problem too but my sister said best thing to do is go to a dermatologist they gave me cream and now my skin has no acne!:biggrin: there are little spots that do come up sometimes but not very often but with that' cream its goes after 1 or 2 days so thank you, dermatologist! i know it's a little hard to go to the doctors now but I'm sure they'll help you.

Thank you! I tried to get my hands on one of their exfoliating peels the other week but were out of stock everywhere, I’ll try again!
I would recommend using germolene cream or acnecide gel (both of which do wonders for acne :ahee:)
Take it from someone who's been on 6 antibiotics and every cream,gel,wash possible from GPs and online pharmacies etc, there isn't an exact treatment that works for everyone, acne is a hit and miss where you have to just try things and find one that works for you. Don't bother with antibiotics i would start with Differin or Epiduo Gel which is what i'm trying now before i ask for accutane but if you're new to treatments you want to start with very mild beginner treatments so creams etc, for scars i would ask to see a dermatologist as they have treatments for that like laser etc, GPs wont give you anything for scarring i don't believe and most stuff over counter wont work like actual treatments from specialists.
