    did you have fun?
well, seeing that most of my medical school crap is on this laptop, and the error i was running into wouldn't even let me get into a Dos Command mode to copy them, and i had lost my product key for a $700 OS (time to do some OEM cracking :ninja:), yea, I'm having a good time

Sorry if that was a rhetorical question, in which case my answer is simply yes

    :jumphug:

    how's your headache?

hey sarah, disregarding the above, and seeing that you're multi-talented, you wouldn't also happen to be a computer wiz, would ya'?

Hokay, let's give it a go.

I have a single HD w/ two partitions. One has Windows xP Home on it, the other has/had Windows Vista Ultimate on it. Now, the xP one boots fine, but the Vista is running into a crcdisk error (cyclic redundancy check) meaning it wont boot the hard drive. I can't even get the ****ing thing to give me a prompt command screen so that i can copy my HD or use Norton ghost to backup my HD.

I've tried repairing the windows installation, but same damned CRC error. I can't find the damned product key (which means that if i came to peace with losing all my files, I'd still have to buy the damned thing again...)

    so, any help?
