When I try to use the webcam, it says the webcam is not connected, but it's actually a part of the laptop. I've used it recently, and it worked fine. What's up?
Search the driver on Google, I've had this problem before.
Sorry - I should point out I know nothing about this kind of thing. Driver?
If you know the model number of the webcam (you might get away with just knowing what your laptop's called), you can search for the driver on Google. A driver is a piece of software you install which allows computer programs to communicate with the hardware. You can normally download it from the manufacturer's website.

or sometimes the laptop's website. My laptop completely screwed up recently, had to download all the drivers. Found them all on the laptop's website.
What make / model is your laptop?
Probably the driver but maybe a hardware fault.
Are you comfortable getting into device manger to see if it's there?
A lot of Asus laptops have this problem..one of them?
It's a Dell, and I didn't do anything, but it works again now. Odd. Anyway, I'll remember what you guys said for the future. Thanks!
Had the same problem..restarting usually helps
