Heyy, iam currently in the middle of choosing my subjects for higher 5th year studies. The subjects that i know am definitely taking are :

- English
- Maths
- biology
- chemistry

We are required to take 5 subjects and since i want to apply for medicine i need to choose my highers wisely so iam stuck between choosing higher history ( without having done nat 5) and higher admin it ( which also i have not done nat 5 of). Is crashing higher history more challenging than crashing higher admin?

history is more essay based than admin so if you don't enjoy writing essays then yes higher history is more challenging it that sense

I left school before Nat 5 was a thing. I would say I “crashed” Higher History without doing the Standard Grade and it was absolutely fine.

It’s very much an essay subject so if you dislike English and the “written” subjects then consider that.

I found it a very interesting Higher.

What did u end up picking? I’m in s5 and I want to do medicine. I have picked 5 higher subjects maths, English, human biology, chemistry and admin and people often tell that i shouldn’t have picked admin as it’s not good if you want to do medicine.
