i have just enrolled to do ecomonics as an alevel as i did not have a clue what to take as my fourth option, and it seemed ok interesting wise.
is it regarded well? not at all? bad? good?
HELP. im a bit worried now.
Probably regarded as more of a mickey mouse subject than Film Studies - change it quick!
LSE highly regard the A-level. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for anyone.
It's fine. As highly regarded as Maths and Sciences etc.
it is extremely HIGHLY respected
it is a hard A level and more respected than Business studies
everyone has a different opinion!!
i hated the subject, with a passion, as i found it really hard, but it turned out to be my best A-Level.
i reckon that it is well regarded, as it is so hard to study, you need to link anything, to everything pretty much. is good for tlking to mates down pub too, you can astound them with knowledge as to how our economy is going to hell in a handbasket
it is a highly regarded subject...not in the same league as maths, sciences or history but still, very much worth taking. whats even better is that it is ****ing easy too.
It is definitely a highly-respected subject.
I chose not to do it because it was a close call between economics and maths, and people told me that maths is stronger (and it's stronger than most subjects) but if you're already doing maths or you don't want to, economics is a great choice.
Ofcourse it is highly respected!
What are your other subjects?
I studied Economics A Level, along with Geography, History and English Lit. I'd lump them all together as of equal 'worth' as traditional academic subjects.
(And I really enjoyed it)
He is the only one saying it actually, and he is being sarcastic.
Good combination of subjects, stick with it.
