LSE highly regard the A-level. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for anyone.

i hated the subject, with a passion, as i found it really hard, but it turned out to be my best A-Level.

i reckon that it is well regarded, as it is so hard to study, you need to link anything, to everything pretty much. is good for tlking to mates down pub too, you can astound them with knowledge as to how our economy is going to hell in a handbasket

it is a highly regarded subject...not in the same league as maths, sciences or history but still, very much worth taking. whats even better is that it is ****ing easy too.

It is definitely a highly-respected subject.

I chose not to do it because it was a close call between economics and maths, and people told me that maths is stronger (and it's stronger than most subjects) but if you're already doing maths or you don't want to, economics is a great choice.

I studied Economics A Level, along with Geography, History and English Lit. I'd lump them all together as of equal 'worth' as traditional academic subjects.

(And I really enjoyed it)

He is the only one saying it actually, and he is being sarcastic.
Good combination of subjects, stick with it.

He's joking obviously; Film Studies is Mickey Mouse's eldest son.

Economics A-Level is a very highly regarded essay subject - so don't worry about it

What you do need to worry about is whether you're compatible with the course content (i.e. will you actually enjoy it) because from what i remember of gcse economics it was extremely dull (thats my own personal experience - everyone's different and i'm sure there'll be some people who'll tell you that they absolutely love it)
