Can I go out every weekend if I am trying to get in shape?

Made quite a few posts recently on this forum, anyways I've been getting in shape since the start of the year, currently in a shredding phase to get rid of body fat, I don't know exactly how much fat % I have, but it isn't much, just more than I want, however people in my gym group say I do not need to loose it, anyways with pubs re opening, like you're average 20 year old, I will probably be going to the pub most weekends, how much will this affect me getting in shape, my diet is very good, I workout out 4 days a week and I work in retail so I am always walking, I am trying my best in every other aspect, however I know that the pubs will be my weak spot.

On a night out, I do try to watch what I drink as well, I try to stay away from lager as I know it's quite fattening, I see and personally know people who drink most days and they stay in shape, I just feel like it will effect me in a bad way, like getting more fat etc, also I know I could quite easily go out and not drink, as I enjoy the social side of it more than anything, but no point on even going to a pub for a night out if I am just gonna stick to water.

I do overthink things and its probably easily manageable and if I really want to get seriously shredded etc, like many things, I will cut out drinking completely, but since currently I am just trying to get rid of fat, get more toned etc, I feel like its manageable.
I try to stay away from lager as it is vile to taste and I would not water the garden in swill such as Stella and Budweiser.

No crime in socialising without alcohol.

I'll echo the above that you don't need alcohol, or manage it by a) not doing it 'most' weekends b) limit your alcohol intake c), find what has the lowest calories d) alternate between alcohol and softies (though watch out for the sugar in fruity stuff).

Ex-military and I would be training during the week, do the occasional Friday night Happy Hour and Sat night out with my boyfriend and it was fine. People do better if they don't massively restrict their diets, so look at it as a treat, but don't go mad.
