Hi, I’m a third year optometry student. In all honesty 1st year is a lot of background a level biology that we did at A level so pretty simple and a lot simples bit irrelevant which you don’t need to really know to be an optom. However there’s a bit of optics in first year but that is quite challenging and differs between units and I think will only make sense once you actually start the course or else you may be very overwhelmed and confused. I would recommend in general going over the general anatomy of the eye as this will help through out the 3 years. Let me know if you have any other quesirons.
