i agree that maybe the cinema isnt the best first date (unless youve done something together before hand) but as your a little shy it might be for the best as lomg as you do something afterward where you can talk.... even if it is only about the film.

as she's only 16 and drinks arnt the best idea, how about catching an early(ish) movie and then getting something to eat afterwards.

i wouldnt suggest putting your arm round her, maybe just take and hold her hand a bit during the film and then if all things go well a little goodnight kiss. and once your both back at home, a quick txt saying youv had a really nice night and would like to do it again somethime.

1st date at the cinema is also a bad idea, you can't talk at all.
Not entirely true, if its a terrible enough movie I think you can be excused from the 'no talk at all' rule. I mean c'mon it's not exactly going to ruin the experience for everyone else.

PLUS if it's a terrible movie you have something you can both talk about!

unless God forbid she likes the movie. then you have to lie.

**** the cinema. Go someplace you can bond and talk.
I think the usher's would most likely escort you out. That and, sex with buildings is generally a no-no for first dates.
