It's quite difficult to give you suggestions when you've not told us what music you like.

    The Smiths.

If you don't have anything against Ashlee Simpson, I'd suggest getting hold of Hot Stuff and Murder from her most recent album (Bittersweet World). Murder is especially good.

If you'd rather have a few tracks over a full album, I'd go for Monkey & Bear from Ys and Sprout And The Bean from The Milk-Eyed Mender.

This is all assuming that you don't have these songs. You don't have a last.fm profile link anywhere. :p:

    I've seen them twice :proud:

Did you see them in their last tour, or as a support act before then?

    future prophecies
Seconded. Future Prophecies got me into drum'n'bass in the first place. I think a good starting point with them would be Dreadlock.

Have some modern British Indie Rock:

Pete and The Pirates - Little Death

The Maccabees - Colour It In

    Air Traffic - Fractured Life

    Some not so modern stuff:

Art Brut - Bang Bang Rock and Roll and It's A Bit Complicated, but that one isn't as inspired as the original.

    The Strokes
    - First Impressions of Earth and older albums, such as Room on Fire and Is This It.

For more generic, American, suggestions, try the two albums each by The Arcade Fire, Kings of Leon, The Raconteurs, Editors and We Are Scientists.
