    Hi there

I'm really new to the Uni thing as my parents never allowed me to think about going, but I'm going to get on a clearing course and just go for it... I'm really excited but they're really unhappy but it's something i just need to do...

I need a bit more assistance though... (it's amazing how quickly things move!)

    I know about:

SLC - to arrange tuition fee loans
Banks - mainly Natwest thanks to the other forum for a student account (4 a much needed overdraft)
NUS - to get essential student discounts!

Is there any other companies I should get in with before going to Uni?

NUS are awful. But there is not much escaping them!
Banks are also awful, but necessary.
I think you have the essentials covered. Might help if you say where you are going to uni.
And well done for making up your own mind about your education.

I think you've got it covered. I assume you've got accommodation? You might want to look into personal contents insurance and whether it is included with your accom.
