I am going to do a level 3 extended diploma at college but I’m 17 so I’m thinking of dropping out after one year. Will I get any qualifications from this or not if I fully complete the first year. Like will I have a level 3 diploma, not an extended one?

I did BTEC level 3 in applied science for 1 year (out of the 2 years), & only received a paper slip with my results of the completed modules. It was written on that paper that an award isn't eligible. (but that's just my experience anyway)

It depends on how the college registers you. Some enrol on a 2 year course and you get nothing if you drop out (just unit slip as vikitdemj says). Some enrol you on Year 1 Diploma and then claim certificates. You then either leave with a qualification (but only equivalent to 1 1/2 A levels) or continue to Year 2.

Do you know if there’s any level 3 courses I could do that only take 1 year because I wanted to enrol at uni next year to do paramedic science with a foundation year but If not then I’ll have to stay at college for the 2 years and just do paramedic science without the foundation year
