I've seen GCSE papers with a harder format. The other new papers are here.

Now A-level Psychology has had slight critiscm of being "easy" (which is rubbish), now they might just have a point

I know what you mean, but in a way this is kinda harder, only because now when Psychology is studied, you'll have to remember like the little details too, which to be fair wasn't really needed for the essay questions. It was easier to predict what was likely to come up with the essay questions based on previous papers.

The thing which irritates me is that the Sociology papers have stayed virtually the same in comparison: http://aqa.org.uk/qual/gce/pdf/AQA-SCLY1-W-SQP-07.PDF

    Hmm.
Tomorrow I'll be changing my options from psychology to physics.

Maybe I should rethink that after seeing this! :P

Wow. I am actually speechless. Why have they done this?

That paper looks ridiculously easy. I honestly don't understand what was wrong with the old format?

    That's just stupid.

If you take the full A level in 09, you take the old one.
If you take the full A level in 10, you take the new one.

I can't believe that! I did Psychology GCSE (not A level) but I can definately see the drop in standard.
The paper is quite similar to the OCR GCSE paper format we had a few years ago.

There are so many small mark questions, which seems to go against the whole point of the more detailed, structured essays which A level standard is supposed to encourage candidates to use.

Yeah, I saw this just before our A2 psychology exams! I couldn't believe it, the papers are an absolute joke! I really can't understand why they changed it so dramatically; maybe there was a high fail rate? Well I guess there must have been as the grade boundaries were so low. But surely the way it is being taught should have changed, rather than spoon feeding them the exams. Ridiculous.

Wow. I could answer some of the questions without knowing any background. This is meant to be an A level paper? You can kind of understand why the old fogies complain that exams are getting easier looking at that paper. I'm doing Psychology for A level, I just hope my paper isn't stupidly easy like that. I want a challenge.

I've been the final year to take the old one...my psychology teachers told me they were 'changing the format' of the exams but that is ridiculous!
