PS3 freeview and my laptop Watch

Hey, Im off to uni next year and i wanna watch tv in the evenings etc. Im gonna get a PS3 tv tuner freeview thing when they come out in a few weeks. But i just wanted to know if there is anyway you can link something like this up to a laptop to save me taking a TV.

i dont think so as laptops dont have a video input?

not directly - laptops don't have vid input.

you may find USB/PCMCIA stuff which might allow you to.

You can but you will have to get a video capture card for your laptop. Speaking from experience of this, as I tried doing the same with my PS2, they are crap and you wont get HD off of them. SD looked rubbish on mine and there was a delay between pushing buttons on the controller and seeing the effects on screen.
TBH I would suggest getting a monitor with a HDMI port instead of a TV. It will be cheaper for a HD monitor than a HD TV and will be higher res which is great as you can then have 2 screens on your laptop, assuming it has a VGA/DVI/HDMI port on it.

Get a USB TV tuner with scart/component input and you'll be able to use that (no HD though, just SD)
