My mother was born in England, but she grew up in Canada. I am Canadian and have been offered admission to a school in the UK. I am wondering if I should apply for British citizenship and if it will be beneficial for me during my 2 year program. I am also concerned because I feel like I was given my offer partly because I am an international student that will pay high student fees. Just wondering if there is any disadvantage to me getting my British citizenship or not?! Anyone in similar situations? What would you recommend?
