If i get a failing grade in my TOK Essay (1) and a 9 in my TOK Presentation would i fail overall, because of a failed essay or would i pass because of my overall points ?

Well from my understanding, you need to get at least a 4/20 to get a D in TOK (the lowest passing mark). With your 9 in the TOK presentation you easily achieve this and should actually make it into the C category as the essay score is doubled to give you a score of 2(1) 9 = 11 out of a possible 30 marks. As far as I'm aware, there isn't an additional requirement specifying that you must pass each component of TOK, although if you fail to submit an essay at all, you will fail your diploma. Sorry this is so longwinded, but hope this helps!!
