It depends on the course. Some require an entrance exam.

Usually you will need a GCSE in Maths and English.

Most students take A-Levels or if not BTECs. Some even take an AS as a fourth but this is not necessary.

They need A levels, normally in 3 subjects (or an equivalent - BTECs, IB, PreU etc )
They will generally also need to have at least a standard pass in GCSE Maths and English Language.
Some universities (Cambridge, Oxford) also set entrance exams and for Maths related subjects so do some others (Warwick, Durham, Imperial...)
A + C definitely.

D as well for Welsh and NI students

B for specific universities (e.g. cambridge) or specific subjects (e.g. UCAT for medicine)

For Scottish students, SQA
